Just a Quick One ~ UPDATED

Looks like we're going to the children's hospital in LA instead of Stanford. The doctors here say the surgeons there are just as great as Stanford, and my dad agrees. They would not suggest this place if they were not confident in them.

All because of insurance reasons. It is so comforting to know that the doctors here are looking out for us in that aspect!

UPDATE

Just received word that there is not room for him tonight in LA, but we are getting transported out at 8am tomorrow (2-9-11)! Should be arriving in LA around noon... not sure if noon is still Utah time or CA time...

This is all I know. We'll see what happens! At least the ball is rolling!

  1. The Children's Hospital out here in LA is amazing. He will be well taken care of as will you. There is also a Ronald McDonald house right down the street from it if you need a place to stay.

They are all children with Down Syndrome but I figured you might want to see some kids who have come through with flying colors!

  6. Ali, lots of prayers being sent your way, I have followed Casey's blog for a while and think she is an amazing writer and person, my nephew is also a heart baby, and you can link to his CaringBridge page and ask my sister in law any questions or see words of encouragement. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/johnalexanders

While it is a scary road, I truly believe in the power of prayer and believe that is what has kept John here with us. Tanner and your family will be in my prayers.
